Sandra is a dedicated healthcare professional focused on mental health and wellness. Sandra draws on over 20 years of experience in psychiatric care and provides patient first services targeting positive outcomes. She graduated top of her class in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Regis College.  She served as a Psychiatric  Nurse Practitioner at Progressive Therapeutics from September 2019 to December 2023. In this role, she provided cutting-edge mental health care to patients and families dealing with psychiatric issues, specializing in anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions. She offered therapy and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults, applying the latest research advances in mental health care.

 

Prior to her role at Progressive Therapeutics, Sandra worked at Mclean Center at Fernside as a Registered Nurse. Here, she played a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions for a  residential dual-diagnosis substance abuse treatment program. Sandra actively contributed to the development of multi-disciplinary treatment plans in a post-acute psychiatric setting, providing care to patients with a wide range of acute psychiatric conditions.

 

Furthermore, Sandra served as an Adjunct Faculty at Mount Wachusett Community College. In this role, she educated and mentored students, equipping them with a deep understanding of mental health diagnoses and enhancing their therapeutic communication skills with patients. She oversaw students at psychiatric clinical sites, demonstrating her commitment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
